Site Plans

Vollmuth & Brush's approach to site planning utilizes the multidisciplinary fields of surveying, engineering and environmental science. The Firm has prepared site plans for projects which range from a 1,200 residential unit Staten Island development to five acre residential lot. Regardless of the size of the project, we approach the design based on the concepts that the product must be feasible from an engineering perspective, comply with client requirements and be approvable by municipalities. Our experience includes, commercial shopping center design, industrial site designs, and residential condominium and single family home designs.

The Firm's site plan abilities include projects with townhouse yields approaching 28 units per acre. At these high densities, the design of grading, storm drainage, sanitary drainage, water mains, roadways, lighting and landscaping is critical to the success of the project. Vollmuth & Brush designed commercial, industrial and office site plans for projects ranging form a 10,000 sq. ft. building to over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of building area. Site plans have included properties which have tidal wetland and freshwater wetland considerations. Vollmuth & Brush has designed and received approval on specialized wetland stormwater discharge structures, wetland stormwater management ponds, recharge ponds and wetland creation. Our ability to incorporate environmental considerations in site planning has reduced costs to the client and enhanced the agency approval time frame.

Vollmuth & Brush has prepared site plans in Nassau County, Suffolk County, and all five boroughs of New York City.
